Some of our rides wind around and through the route used by the Butterfield and Overland Stages. They include:
The way (swing) stations, where mud wagons changed mules;
Abandoned prospects and mines;
The remains of homesteads and fortified settlements designed to fend off raiders;
Ancient migration routes.
Most rides are in two-hour increments. We cater to individuals and groups of up to 6 people. Riders must be less than 250 pounds and over 8 years of age.
Our destinations border Butterfield’s route from Picacho Peak, through the Rough & Ready Hills and Magdalena Gap, below the Ambush Point of Massacre Peak. Our safe and experienced trail horses and mules handle riders at all levels of experience.
